Purchases

When sending a payment you agree to all terms that are stated, no exceptions. There will be no refunds once the payment has been sent.

A deposit of 30% of the total cost must be put down in order to hold any animal. The deposit includes the price of shipping. Deposits are non-refundable once received. Animals can not be switched around once a deposit has been placed. You will be charged an additional R50 per week. 

Payment Plans

Paid in full purchases will be chosen over payment plans if inquired at the same time.

Payment plans for an amount over R3000 or other plans if arranged are available for 12 week periods. Deposit of 30% is required first and an additional R100 per month. By 12 weeks (3 months from when the date the deposit was sent) the amount must be paid off in full. The animal will only be released after the amount has been paid in full.

If the animal is not paid in full by the initial agreed upon period you will be contacted. Failure to follow through with the payment plan will result in a required additional 10% total fee, required with the final payment. A warning will be issued and an additional 48hours will be given before the 10% is added. If the animal is not paid off within the additional 48hours, the 10% will be added to the final payment an additional 24hours will be given to make the final transaction. Failure to follow through with final notice, the animal will be placed back on the market, along with you being blocked from further sales with Exotic Obssesion for failure to comply with our terms of sales.

*Winter Holds

The winter hold plans are the same as any other payment plan.

Shipping

Orders to will only be shipped or dropped off Monday-Tuesdays to prevent delays. If for some reason the buyer wants to ship on another day we don’t take any responsibility for the package. 

You have the option to book a pet courier (own cost) for animals or use a transport company to ship items. Shipping will not be available with temperatures below 10 degrees C or exceeding 35 degrees C.

If agreed upon to have an animal transported under 10 degrees C or above 35 degrees C for some reason there will be no live guarantee. This is at your digression.

Transport delays do occur occasionally, but this is not something that happens very often. If a transport delay occurs, we are not responsible for it. We can not be held accountable for any death(s) of animal(s) due to delays while in transit.

Live arrival is the only guarantee on purchases. If for some reason the animal shall arrive dead, the animal will be replaced by us, but not the transport cost. Transport for the replacement animal is the responsibility of the buyer. If we can not replace the animal, store credit will be given, no cash refunds. We are not responsible for anything that could happen after the animal arrives alive to your door step. We are not responsible for improper husbandry and so forth.

If the animal should arrive dead or have any issues, you must contact me within the first 30 minutes and include at least 5 pictures of the dead animal and one video of the animal.

If we are not informed within 30 minutes our agreement of sale terms will be voided and you will NOT be issued a refund for any problems that might occur or had occurred during transit.

If you are not home at the agreed upon arrival date to take in the animal and there are any issues, there will be no refund.

Guarantees

Only geckos 3+ grams will be guaranteed live arrival.

Other Guarantees

I can NOT guarantee the gender of your animal (Geckos under 20g). I will not refund for this.

Chameleon shipping

We do have chameleons or other species we do ship out. Chameleons will not come with any type of guarantee as they are a fragile species. This includes live arrival guarantee and so on.

Additional info

Tail drops can be a common thing with geckos unfortunately. It may occur randomly or in transit. If for some reason your gecko drops it’s tail before arriving to you, we will let you know. But the further use of exchanges and declining the gecko after purchase, for taildrops will not be permitted. As we have marked these animals on sale or hold, and it’s not fair to other customers who inquire about said gecko.

If for some reason you decide that you can no longer keep, or wish to sell said animal you bought and or received from us, you must notify us. You give us first pick to buy or take said animals back from you. Each animal we have here we take pride in, with raising and caring for it. We develop a bond to each animal.

By purchasing you agree to continue using the proper care for your animal and to give the proper housing conditions. By purchasing you also agree to all the terms stated above, there will be no exceptions!
